Lisa Murphy, NP is a Nurse Practitioner working alongside HEART with a focus on hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arrythmias, heart failure, and cardiovascular risk reduction. Lisa’s decision to pursue a career in health care was influenced by an aunt who was a nurse which introduced Lisa to the joys and fulfilment of healthcare, medicine, and innovative research which opened Lisa’s desire to help patients improve their quality of life. Lisa’s passion and care for patients truly shines as she approaches each patient as an individual and listens and cares for the patient, spending quality time with each patient case.
Lisa’s education and expertise comes from her programs at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and then from Texas State University where she achieved her Nurse Practitioner license.
Outside of the clinic, Lisa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends. She also has a passion for trying new restaurants around Austin.
